Easter Bunny Under Fire

This seems too dumb to be real ...
St. Paul, Minn. Officials Ban Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny has been sent packing at St. Paul City Hall.

A toy rabbit, pastel-colored eggs and a sign with the words "Happy Easter" were removed from the lobby of the City Council offices, because of concerns they might offend non-Christians.

A council secretary had put up the decorations. They were not bought with city money.

St. Paul's human rights director, Tyrone Terrill, asked that the decorations be removed, saying they could be offensive to non-Christians.

Now I'm no theologian, but I'm pretty sure rabbits aren't one of the tenets of Christianity and if that's true, why would a 'non-Christian' be any more at risk of being offended than a Christian about rabbits?

I’m pro-bunny myself ("Tell me about the rabbits again George").

Italics Mine

UPDATE: Captain's Quarters has a good observation from a commenter, The name of the city is SAINT PAUL. If you’re worried about offending 'non-Christians' shouldn't you change the name to just …… PAUL (of no particular realm)?
